"Sorry guys, these are some stupid fucking comments"

stupid you fucking cock suck bitch ass

it's strange for someone such a fan of music to think it's bad for a film to be so tied in with it's score as a single package, especially considering they liked the score

I've never been so exhausted in my life while sitting on my ass on the sofa while watching Transformers 4. I cried after it was over.

"Never saw Transformers 4, so can't actually say anything about it, but the movie seriously pissed me off, and I could probably go on all day as to why."

I thought it was fantastic up until that weirdo "obligatory cheesy sci-fi" ending. It's serious and realistic and then all of a sudden BAM time travel wormhole bologna? Come on.

I would've liked it a lot more had they just gotten sucked into the black hole, cut to black, then had a shot of McConaughey floating in space near Saturn, unconscious. And then he gets rescued. Forget the ghosts in the bookshelf weirdness, too. Overall though still a pretty great film.

@guitarded Not really. I enjoyed the Chappie score (also by Hans Zimmer) yet the movie itself wasn't really good.

Yeah, but then you have the whole idea of 'gravity transcending everything' which plays out through the film being completely unfinished. Half the movie wouldn't make any fuckin sense if that occurred.

@zaruyache If anything, that would've made it worse because it wouldn't have any ending. Granted no one knows exactly what's in a black hole so you can basically go as batshit crazy as you can be when it comes to that.

yeah but his comment was that the score was good but it was too predominant, would that be your observation of "chappie" as well even though you liked the score, or did you not like the way the score was mixed

i never saw chappie so i cant comment on it but i doubt it was the same way as nolan given it's a different filmmaker

I saw Jonah Hex just for the soundtrack by Mastodon. Was a complete disaster, probably because they did the soundtrack for free and then had to rewrite it from scratch when the new director said it was too heavy.
I was the only one in the theater that day. Bought my ticket and the lady said, "Alright. We'll start it when you're ready." I tried hard not to laugh.

@guitarded ah I see what you mean

quick opinion on Chappie, it's not bad but it's not good either. it gets ridiculous in the last 30 minutes or so.

speaking of which, I'm wondering if the Nostalgia Critic is going to review this. He did think it was pretty bad.

Chappie seems pretty useless, isn't it basically the Robocop movies with Wall-E as the main character?

that's actually pretty accurate, although it has a more batshit crazy ending like this.

Nope. Neil Blomkamp does it. Little bit more emotional integrity than Robocop.

It's got some good laughs, as well as some incredible special effects to boot. Acting is mediocre at some points, but at other points it's done well.

Just saw Ex Machina and that ending totally bewildered me. It was brilliant and awful at the same time. But mostly brilliant.

Update: haha I typed that before seeing your comment, Toon.

I thought the acting in Chappie was fine, it's just that some of the characters were terrible. I couldn't stand Hugh Jackman's character, my god.

Agreed with you on that one. And as for the acting being fine, I agree from an overall standpoint. The good points even out the bad ones.
