That's how I feel. That's why I wrote the bit in my review about being okay with this album taking so long to make. If it took 3 years just to write that track, It'd be worth it.

Still don't quite get the hype for this on here. Great work without a doubt, but not flawless.

It's probably my favorite song of the year honestly.

It Takes A Lot To Know A Man is somewhere in the middle on here for me actually.

yeah, it's still a good song but not as good as The Greatest Bastard, t/t or Long Long Way

Being as objective as possible when it comes to music, I think 'It Takes a Lot To Know a Man' is definitely the most complicated and unique track on here. Without that track, the album as a whole falls to a 4 for me.

By farxthe best for me here. Rather the piano guy than the string guy anyway though

Might be complex but its the subtleties that are the most breathtaking

You said it yourself in your review that the vocals make this album, and they're not particularly complex. They're just soulful and something like Long Long Way exemplifies that despite its simplicity

Exactly, I agree. This is all about the vocals. And to me that's why a little added complexity puts that song over the top, because it offers a flair for the dramatic.

It takes a lot to know a man is incredible. I'm liking this more than O at the moment.

This still hits really hard. Factoring in longevity, this might be my top record from 2014. At least tied with Low Roar and War on Drugs.

This dropped for me, and then rose again about as quickly. Never really took to Low Roar all that much, but I think I just prefer War on Drugs when taking the whole album into account, even though I prefer some individual tracks (Long Long Way is just amazing)
