Yet also very calming and relaxing! For some weird reason it always works that way for me.

i think that's called adhd trif
appreciate the theory behind free jazz more than i enjoy the sound (although this playthrough was actually quite delightful)

This was anxiety-inducing the first time I heard it, probably my favorite Trane now.

Ahaha then I only have ADHD when I listen to this album. It could happen, the world is a mysterious place after all.

Coltrane might be my single favorite artist of all-time.
|

If you guys are looking for more crazy Coltrane don't miss the Olatunji concert. It's his last recording and, coupled with the lo-fi quality, there's an aura of madness to it. There's a half an hour take of My Favorite Things for instance

One of the greatest live albums ever.

yea that shit slaps
this is prob in my top 3 of jazz along with spiritual unity and unit structures. need to listen to more of the genre but a lot of the early bebop/hard bop/post-bop stuff falls a bit flat for me

Exhausting is exactly what I would call this. I want to like it but itโs just too much for me mostly lol

I got through the entirety of Ascension today, what do I win? I even managed to extract a decent amount of enjoyment from the experience. Hit a groove somehow. I tried in the past and completely gave up in all honesty.
