First listening experience to this last night basically involved be driving out to the highest peak in Melbourne (so basically a glorified hill), stargazing on my back and overlooking the infinite blinking city lights. Perfect soundtrack.

That's a nice first listen. Just sitting in my room basically for me lol certain songs on here floor me but others are kinda boring and overstay their welcome.

I'm still holding onto my 5. At least I have faith in this album.

Yeah I definitely felt that, it's inconsistent and at times monotonous. At least based on last nights reaction however, there's
enough cathartic moments and great tracks on here to make up for its bvious faults.

@Toondude All is lost my friend. Might as well 1 it at this point!
@Avon yea like it really could use some more variety with the vocals and more dynamics at times.

Ok last night seems to have been a situation of the experience confounding the reality, this is too samey to be above a 3.5 for me.

Oh hey the average went up! Yay!

This is anything but samey. It's slow and requires patience, but no two tracks are even remotely identical.

It's all sort of blending together for me now. It's all quite pretty, but most of the tracks seem to slightly overstay their welcome and there is a distinct lack of (for want of a better phrase) HOLY SHIT moments that would better justify the length. It's certainly quite a lovely album, just nothing special for me unfortunately.

That's cool. I guess for me there's about 5 holy shit moments.

Breathe In is one of the best songs of the year

nobody loves me like youuu-uuu-uuuu

Breathe In can make a case for that. IMO so can Easy Way Out, Nobody Loves Me Like You, Half Asleep, I'm Leaving, and Vampires On My Fridge. Just so much winning on this one album.

i don't think this is samey at all actually, it just has a very nice flow.
it is a proper album, or what i'd like to call an album that wants to be an album, by which i mean
that it is coherent and not simply 3 singles, a couple great songs and then a lot of filler.
I usually give albums like this 4.0 because they are impressive, but usually also leave me wanting a
bit more.

avonbarksdale221's description is very similar to mine. Some beautiful songs that overstay their welcome. Honestly my fault is that it has pretty songs but as an album it just hasn't clicked for me and it seems a little complacent at times. Still really pretty for a lot of it though.

I can't fault you for it not "clicking." I'm glad you like it to some extent, though.

Well I gotta admit I came in with really low expectasions for this and boy was I wrong.
Yesterday I stumbled on it on Spotify and I gotta say this is what modern music should be like.
I love the atmospheric, melancholic vibe this exudes,I like it a lot.
I think the only downside is that while listening closely to it,you could find yourself a bit lost,I personally did.And maybe that's not a bad thing but my friends don't wan't to listen to it for that same reason.
A friend said that this is too depressing. lol

The track from sound cloud was real good. I guess any music made in Iceland is automatically mind-blowing.
