I just overral enjoy melodeath more. A lot of apparently amazing dm I listened to I can't listen to (morbid angel).
They're not terribly different anyway.

a lot of old school deathcore bands were influenced by At The Gates, same goes for old school metalcore

if you enjoy this thats fine and dandy but calling it unique really just exposes your futility to an unnecessary extent

It's really good. It takes what's good about bands like After the Burial, Shadow of the Colossus, BOO, Veil of Maya etc and throws it into one pleasant package. Nothing on this album annoyed me in the least, even the instruments have a nice sound, particularly the guitars - no As Blood Runs Black or The Price of Existence here. pretty cool stuff.
