Shut up Mongi, stop ruining my hopes and dreams! *cries in a corner*

Haha, and yea Losing It All is really catchy and uplifting.

So should I check this or Vital first?

Wait have you tried any other stuff by them?
|

Definitely, Mongi. Cities is incredible, and I've heard everything except the last two. Dark is the way...was pretty good, but it took a while to grow on me. The only Anberlin record I disliked was New Surrender.

Vital is amazing. But if you're having a difficult time listen to both openers and decide which one you want to do. At least that's what I do and it helps.

Oh sweet. Well, couldn't tell ya cause I really have to revisit Vital, but this is fucking awesome.
Try out Atonement, the best song on this record by far imo.

Gotcha, thanks dudes. Yeah, I just wasn't sure because after reading the review, this one seems a little tame instrumentally. I didn't know if Vital was the same deal or not.

Well I wouldn't call it tame. The vocals and lyrics are the high points definitely but listen to stuff like Atonement, Harbinger and We Are Destroyer and you'll be locked in hopefully

Nice review, Sowing. I don't like Anberlin's new style nearly as much as their older style, but I'll give this a spin in the near future anyway.

Vital is far from tame imo. Self Starter hits like a motherfucker.

Sweet, thanks for weighing in, guys. I will check both soon, probably Vital first.

I'm just wondering how many pages of reviews this is going to get

"And with this, I finally accept that Anberlin is a band I will never like." [2]

Probably not that many, maybe two. Anberlin isn't THAT loved on sput, most of it gravitates toward Cities.

Anberlin could have made it so much bigger commercially if their record label had a better advertisement campaign for the band. One of the most poorly advertised bands ever.

Tooth and Nail is actually a really popular label, especially in the christian community

They were only on tooth and nail for two records if I remember correctly, blueprints and this one.
