i can hear mountain goats in here (horn section especially) but boiling it down to "wonder years + mountain goats" isn't accurate, I would say; there's a lot more elements of indie and folk music to account for and at any rate, the aesthetic of this is completely different to that of mountain goats even if they share formulaic similarities

^ Nope I really like the mountain goats. Sunset tree was my favorite album begining of last semester actually. I feel in the story telling and sturcture aspects of the album they are quite similair, as in soupy was influenced a lot by them. I also really dislike the cover. it was a bad choice for him to include it.
