Band sounds like The Devil's Blood are jamming with Autopsy.

Peter Jackson's debut Dead Alive is so offensively over-the-top cheesy funny that it makes his LotR trilogy boring.

there's this one bit in Beyond Life's Sealed Abode that sounds like just like Stream of Consciousness by DT

ive seen dead alive a bunch yea but texas chainsaw 2 is another level. its misogynistic, its racist, its fucking repulsive. there are few other films out there that are as tasteless and offensive than that one.

but i still think its hilarious.

When I popped the CD into my player, I went from "this is good," to "this is really good," to "this is excellent." So no arguments with a 4-1/2 or 5-star review. But the reviewer is reaching more than a little bit with the once-in-a-lifetime stuff. Nothing revolutionary here--but the sources are excellent. Tech-death at the penultimate level; let's say Individual Thought Patterns rather than Piece of Time. The pastoral/proggy parts remind me of Opeth. Death and Atheist and Akerfeldt's outfit are some of my favorite bands, so this is all to the good, but let's keep things in proportion, you know? And beyond the 80th-percentile chops, give credit to a keen melodic sense that's rare in death.

It's unique in that it's the only death metal album I've heard to take those influences and combine it all on one record. The influences aren't unique, it's the way they are all melded together here.

This could pass as the first successful stoner death metal record ever hahaha. That's the total vibe I get from this. It's like the whole record is covered in this bong ripping murky haze!
