'That nasal whiiIIIIIIIne, those footy-terrace-meets-nursery-rhyme melodies...yeah, even now, I'd rather not' (2)

Admittedly, had their songs not been played for what seemed like every second of every day (even in the 00s) then maybe I wouldn't dislike them so much, a lot of their stuff is like nails on a chalkboard to me now. They also represented the things outlined by Zak, unfortunately I don't see that as a positive thing. In addition to this Oasis are rampant at open-f***ing mics, probably because Wonderwall is often one of the first things people learn how to play on guitar. Yeah, absolutely bloody everywhere.

Wonderwall is definitely a beginner guitar song. I've personally taught it to at least 10 people who had no idea how to previously play. Even if I didn't have a Capo on hand for that second fret.

Every week back then Hans pal.

In all honesty I was at a stag do last month and we all sung Don’t Look Back In Anger down the pub.

The song wasn’t even being played at the time, the place didn’t even have a jukebox/band/karaoke we all just belted it out.

The Manchester Bombing has definitely brought that song back to prominence

Most of this should have stayed in the 90s, but Don't Look Back In Anger is an eternal banger

This is easily their best. I'm assuming so at least, haven't heard any albums in full after Be Here Now.

Mine would probably be Morning Wall and Champagne Supernova (definitely overplayed, but a phenomenal song nonetheless).

Tbh I haven’t listened to this in years so it may change a bit with a response (CS wouldn’t tho).

Morning Glory is a monster jam. Should have been a radio hit. Maybe it was, but I don't remember ever hearing it.

Agreed — honestly sounds good and hyped enough to be the opening track.

Considering this band had only been knocking around in the public eye for little more than a year the fact they had a gig at Earls Court and had this as their set list is unbelievable.

Cigarettes & Alcohol
