Every time I see the title to this album I think it says "River Dealer", which I think is a way better title.

I always say it but start at the beginning

Burial to get a feel for his beat making and aesthetic

Untrue where he perfected his style and solidified the atmosphere of his works

Then the Massive Attack collab where he began experimenting with structure and length, then just move on from there

just got two of my close friends into this guy via Untrue and then s/t

think the progressive stuff with no hooks is a bit too much for their small brains yet

This is head and shoulders above Truant/Rough Sleeper for me

To be honest they're both way behind Street Halo (which is really underrated imo) and Kindred for me

Problem with Burial is that it lacks a cohesive flow. Which is simply a by-product of being assembled from tracks that were made a few years apart

i must be one of a few people on here who likes this a decent bit more than kindred (not that there's anything wrong with kindred)

that's cool, different strokes. this has got a whole other thing going for it and I think it's magical, but Kindred is just in it's own universe. my favourite Burial release for sure and one of my favourite albums ever ever ever. Best EP ever, I do declare.

this one wore off me after the initial stage of awestruck wonder. still #slamz though.

yeah the cold's already beginning to seep through the hours and consequently i'm finding myself
listening to more and more electronic to keep myself warm - there better be some decent snowfall this
year
