""Album might be a 4 without Take It Back and Keep Talking. It would be long enough without them too."

"Those are the two weakest songs, yeah"

Take it Back is probably my least favourite (too much U2 there) but Keep Talking is pretty nice.

I actually like U2 but Take it Back is just a crappy impersonation

I always found Keep Talking pretty horrible especially lyrically but the call and response part is cool

The dialogue is a major factor in human evolution, I believe that's the point of the song. I also love Dave's delay effect.

Yeah I get that that's the point of the song but I still find the lyrics cheesy and annoying. Why won't you talk to me/you never talk to me isn't really the best way to write a song about the importance of speech.

"Why won't you talk to me/you never talk to me isn't really the best way to write a song about the importance of speech."

Well basically loneliness and the search for truth.

Why won't you talk to me

You never talk to me

What are you thinking

What are you feeling

I feel like I'm drowning

You know I can't breathe now

We're going nowhere

We're going nowhere

I get what you're saying and I think it's a great subject matter to write about I just don't think Gilmour did it well on that one

Agreed.

Water's depressing yet rational songwriting vs David's more emotional and melodic music it's Floyd's unique formula.

Best band ever.

Well it's not 70's classic Floyd.

But hey give it spin. I saw this tour, this album means a lot to me.

"it's not 70's classic Floyd"

It doesn't matter. I have not checked a single note from their 80's material, so I don't have any feedback to rely on and make comparisons. Besides, 80's or 70's, it's still PF, so how bad can it be ?
