And yeah I actually talked to Kurt after an ALLB show and he said that he has been a really big chain smoker and it was causing issues with the live shows he just didn't want to admit it to himself back then. He slowed down on his smoking supposedly, he used to have a pretty decent higher register and he's starting to get it back.

Not trying to rag on the dude too hard, just finding that Tillian's vocals require some getting used to. I like plenty of higher-pitched singers but this guy is on another plane.

Kurt has definitely gotten better since he joined ALLB, I remember what he was like live with DGD, which was.. pretty terrible. I've been looking at some live videos since Kuroi Ledge was released and he has just improved so much live.

@WatchItExplode Check out his old band Tides Of Man. Empire Theory is a lot more accessible when it comes to his vocals, he displays his range a lot more evenly. He is insane live, he covers Kurt and Jonny's parts perfectly and then when he wants to add another level of intensity he just takes it up an octave, its crazy.



I agree with him being a lot better live with ALLB, he really found his niche with them.

Well if we are going to be real about this A Lot Like Birds is better when it comes to the technical music side as well as lyrics and DGD is still super great musically just in a different way. And they are more fun.

And if you go to a DGD show you actually have a chance of meeting an attractive single girl, while at A Lot Like Birds it's just going to be a massive sausage fest.

Not like that part really matters, but it's still true.
