at least Risk is okay if you take it as a typical hard rock album

this doesn't even do that very well

I gave Risk and this the same rating, which is also the same rating I gave both Loads. Risk was to me an experiment gone wrong, but no where near the same extent as Morbid Angel's recent release.

Through the second half of 2014, the band encountered several setbacks. In August, a concert in Tel Aviv was canceled due to an armed conflict between Israel and Gaza. Additionally, Megadeth was scheduled to appear on Motörhead's Motörboat cruise in late September; the band withdrew from the event because Mustaine encountered complications following cervical spine surgery. In early November the band confirmed they are the enter the studio in January to work on their fifteenth album. On November 25th 2014, Drover quit the band after ten years, citing a desire to pursue his own musical interests. On the same day, A couple hours later later, Broderick also announced his departure due to musical differences.

It sounds like things were winding down, coupled with the bandmembers probable reluctance to make a part 2 of this, which is most likely what would've happened since Mustaine is working with pop producers. RIP Megadeth

I recall Risk having bearable moments, but this album is torture after the first or second track. Can't be bothered to finish it tbh.

Exactly, Risk and SC are both terrible, but what sets them apart is the fact that SC is almost unbearable, whereas I can sit through Risk.

"Burn!" is a pretty good track, easily the best on the album.

I actually think "Kingmaker" is the worst song on the album. It's so fucking generic, as is the entire album. And the verses sound identical "Children Of The Grave" by Black Sabbath.
