YOBR wasn't terrible, just disappointing coming from Coheed and Cambria who, as far as mainstream musicians go, are above par most of the time. But at least on that album they were trying to branch out and try new things.

This album just felt so tired. Should have just taken Sentry, The Hard Sell, Number City, and maybe the last two tracks from this and made The Afterman album one complete disc.

Sentry the Defiant is the best song on the album and I also really like the Pink Floyd influence in The Hard Sell.

Both the Afterman albums are miles better than their previous two efforts but still nowhere near SSTB, IKSOSE and Good Apollo.

I dug both albums but I don't feel like i can rate them objectively, I've been listening to the band for a long time. They get 4's for support but realistically: not their strongest albums. As a whole its way ahead of YOTBR. I will say that I'm glad Eppard is back in the band, he meshes way better than Pennie. People either love or hate the band with no real middle ground.
