I'm not gonna pretend like I remember jack about songs like Dear John which very well might be about her sex life, but to be honest that song is so un-prominent that it's not worthy of your attention in the first place.

Anyways the idea that TSwift doesn't separate her sex life and her music is bullshit. Sure she sings about high school relationships with an awfully parochial perspective---and that's coming from me (with an astounding zero relationships, but I digress)---but I dare you to find one of her hit singles (and let's be honest, it's the overexposure to these singles that makes you give one flying fuck about Taylor Swift versus *pop singer #n*) that make any mention of sex. Pretending like she put the topic on the board to begin with is disingenuous, and even if she had, I'd argue that discussing her sex life (since she brought it up in her music) is alright but judging her because of it isn't. Because after all, when was the last time you judged a rapper (who only talk about sex) specifically for being a man whore? Probably you'd say "god his lyrics are shit" but you'd never point out, "goddamn his sex life is just disgusting, and he sucks because of it"
