^^Those songs are still better than any 50 Cent, Flo-Rida, or Justin Bieber rap.
And enjoyable IMO

yes the content isnt good we all know that but you guys are overestimating the beat its not even that good i mean shit have you even heard vocal sampling prior to this or what
|
| |
It's good
|
| |
that and goldie are the two best beats imo. i guess i really juts like friendzone's sorta airy foil
to clams noisy industrial-ish type stuff. "chuch" and "perfect skies" were two of my fav beats of
2011
1train is sorta cool but i dont think hit-boy pulls off that style all too well. i mean then again a
lot of the beats he's produced in the past year or so have been so badass imo so he's probably given
himself a hard precedent
lvl is a good beat but hell suuuuucks
t-minus actually does a good job on pmw good 4 him
and then the rest are somewhere between boring and ok
|
| |
im probably too BEAT CENTRIC tho i liked just about every beat on livelove except...acid drip? and even that is good in the right mood. so i liked that album better
|
| |
the beats are half good and half not really good
but the only songs that come together as a whole for me are goldie--which i didnt even like that
much when it first came out, considered it a slight disappointment--1train, fashion killa (sorry
guys) and maybe suddenly
he gets "introspective" and "improves his rapping" but it all feels weirdly ploy-ish to me. some of
it is so "look at me im asap rocky. drugs and stuff"--which is the way he's always been i guess--
that it feels like self parody. it's like he's trying super hard to fit into a mold he set for
himself and i guess for some reasno it worked the first time for me but it's a no go this time
around. diminishing returns? it's all just sorta dishearteningly phoned-in. i dont know what else i
expected but right now it feels flaccid
|
| |
also "fuckin problems" is just as awful as the first time i heard it, whose ideas was that song
