Maybe because it's more straight-forward alternative rock and not as experimental as their later work?

Rubbish, Bones and Planet Telex are two of the best songs on the album. The chorus of Sulk is also a high moment.

Didn't like this too much first time, but now i love it. definitely in my top 3 radiohead albums. Street Spirit is my favorite song on this

the main riff in bones is amazing but the rest of the song is meh. the track the bends is not very good. nice dream, bulletproof, black star and sulk are all not very good. no radiohead album since has had so many weak tracks...
but street spirit is AMAZING, fake plastic trees is almost as good. just + my iron lung are awesome rock tracks

No way man, Bones is great as a whole. Great chorus by Thom, sexy bassline, grungy as all-hell guitar work from Jonny. One of Radiohead's best rockers. The Bends is also a superb track. That solo at the end is pure sex. I don't know, I think Bulletproof and Sulk are a little weak but still good tunes in the context of the album. Nice Dream is very underrated.
Hail To The Thief has just as many "weak" tracks if not more.

chorus in bones is absolutely amazing (not words i use lightly), but its too little of the overall song. there's good aspects to the songs you mentioned. i kinda see what you're saying with nice dream but its a little static for me.
when i try to find the weakest tracks on hail to the thief i just don't find any. it suffers more from a lack of a true album flow than a lack of quality tracks.

The guy didn't do anything but take a video that wasn't his and put it to a song that wasn't his. It fit well. But still.

I really, really love a bit more than half of the songs on this. The slower, sadder songs on here don't do much for me, sadly.
