I don't think it's quite better than Cities but I do think this is their most consistent album yet.

Hey gaiz.
This isn't related to Vital, but it's worth noting that Adelaide has been stuck in my head for the past three days. It took me long enough but I'm starting to really dig the track. Yeahhhhh.

Dismantle.Repair has been stuck on my mind since I woke up this morning, which is weird because I haven't listened to the song in a long time

"Dismantle.Repair has been stuck on my mind since I woke up this morning, which is weird because I haven't listened to the song in a long time"
For sure, I was walking home, still humming along to Adelaide, when suddenly... "One last glance at the taxi cab..."
I really want to review this too but I can't get any inspiration to continue my review... ugh.

"adelaide is one of their best songs no joke"
I dunno about that but it's definitely one of their better "immature catchy songs" along with Breaking, and half of NTFP/Blueprints

I don't know if I would call any of Anberlin's songs immature... Maybe lighthearted, bouncy, catchy, and fun, but not immature.

was a little worried since New Surrender and DITW weren't quite up to Cities/NTFP standards, but since i finally gave it a go i can truly say i genuinely love Vital, easily one of my 2012 favs

"Maybe lighthearted, bouncy, catchy, and fun, but not immature."
Eh, when I say immature, I don't mean it as a bad thing. I do think the whole lighthearted, bouncy, catchy, fun thing is immature, but it has a charm all its own. I mean, if we argue that Cities was a major step in maturation for Anberlin, then that necessitates NTFP being relatively immature. Still fun for what it was.
Cities>Vital>DITW>NTFP>NS>Blueprints
We're almost the same Lakes. Almost. I honestly think Vital can beat out Cities in the long run, but only if songs like God, Drugs, and Sex, Orpheum, and Innocent grow (almost all of the ballads...).

I actually really enjoy the environment of Innocent's verses and the bridge is nice. It's that weird
little boop-y synth (I can't believe I just said that, but I can't think of a better onomatopoeia for
it) in the chorus. Still, it has potential to grow, that's for sure.
I dunno about GDS and Orpheum, but we'll see. I haven't listened to them enough. I think they can
grow... it's just weird considering how immediate Anberlin's ballads usually are.

Ties, we're so close. Soo close.
By the way, do you guys absolutely love the verse of Desires? It's amazing.
