yeah Stare At The Sun is one of the weaker tracks, but i gotta disagree about post-Paper Tigers cuz you get the t/t, Hoods which switches up time signatures a ton, Blood Clots which is prob the 2nd heaviest on this album, and Melting Point of Wax which is the best track

I kind of see what you mean about Stare At The Sun and Paper Tigers, but if there are bad/generic songs here I'd probably agree with the closer, and then All That's Left. In regards to the vocals, I actually think this is the album where Kensrue stepped up his game, he sounded weaker in tios, and almost horrid in identity crisis (which still a pretty fun album).

All That's Left is such a jam that ending is so sick

I mean the vocals here are better than Illusion but the songwriting on that album is far, far better than here
he wasn't really a good vocalist in any way until Vheissu imo

idk, there are songs in every thrice record that don't do anything for me, like cataracts, doublespeak... and all that's left is definitely one of those. It's also placed between two of the best songs in here, which may be part of the reason why I don't pay much attention to it whenever I play the album.

I always thought this picked up in the back half. Stare at the Sun is underrated too.

at least we can agree that this rules lol
while beggars is far from being their worst, I think that record is the least consistent. It has some of their best work, yet a big chunk of it falls flat for me.

Everything on here and Beggars is pretty fantastical.
Abolition and T/t are both wonderful in all the right ways.

they opened with hurricane which was pretty sweet. they played i think 6 other songs from the new album, which was kind of a bummer because one of them was stay with me, and they only played one song from alchemy index vol. 1, but there was a lot of vheissu. for miles was a pretty sweet closer, and during the encore they played the t/t from this in years to come and earth will shake, so that was great
