i think its more consistent than debut, and did work on things i didn't like from that album; no gang vocals, no spoken sections, instruments work well with vocals more often, etc. but his vocals do seems sorta bland in comparison to the debut i think. it's not as volatile or as emotive. 'can i still get into heaven if my i kill myself' isn't as intense as his bellows in the debut.

basically i don't think it's ever as strong as debut's strongest moments, but it's never as weak as the debut's weak moments. overall more consistent, and still pretty enjoyable i guess.

the instruments sound crappy on here. I had King Park on a playlist this morning and compared to the other songs it sounded eurgh. I could barely hear the guitars, only the drums and vocals were clear

King Park is pretty cool but it has some really awkward bits. The "or was it last week?" bit makes me cringe

Really? I found that to be a good example of Jordan's improved vocal capabilities. The timing on it was quite precise. Gave just enough time for a diminutive instrumental build, and it fit quite well.

It felt out of place and unnecessary

I love the little hints of melody in his voice.

"Everybody wondering, "How did it happen again? And is he dead? These children, our kids" from King Park and "They're just movements towards feeling. It doesn't matter, neither hesitates to carry on" are both so awesome

xenocide.

Sometimes I kinda wish they were an obscure band; just to avoid haters.

Great review from the best reviewer imo.
