this is a great review.
i do like this mainly because the buzz of their live show is pretty electric.
their second album will suck, and the masses will realise that there is no way to change their sound.

I love this band. I love their lyrics and their sound. I'm assuming a lot of the hate is because they're mainstream.

yup i hate mainstream things
that's the reason i'm so excited about coldplay's new album
|
| |
Fingers crossed that it's actually better than their last EP
|
| |
boring mellow rock excites me too

I agree with collies that their second album will probably suck. Not necessarily from being bad, but just from sounding exactly the same as this one. I just can't see their style/sound progressing in any way. Although they have permission to prove me wrong.

Ok, someguest, the fact that you are digging Cannibal Corpse eliminates your ability to give any credible input on music imho.

on the contrary, butcheredchildren at birth is far better than whatever music you listen to

i imagine the title of the album being what the band begs the listener to do after sitting through all the songs

old people love listening to this band and thinking they are still "with it" but then after they finish it they put on Born to Run and you can tell that they aren't awful people...
fuck this band more than any other band ever

what did they do to you seriously

^ what is that avatar from?!
oh, and on the subject of knott's reviewing skills, he's actually my favorite reviewer on this site.

^ so much this. rabbit seriously needs to mellow sometimes
@knott: 'if you don't listen to it properly' being the first thing i see kinda bugs me tbh. you
definitely make a lot of solid points but it feels like you dislike the fact that the album is famous
more than you dislike the album itself. thought your piece on 'owl city' was a lot better elaborated.

I'll repeat what I said when I wrote it: if you think that I hate this album because it's popular, then:
a) you obviously don't know much about my taste in music, and
b) you obviously didn't get the point of the review, which I guess definitely could be my fault, but I don't hate this album because it's popular. So yah.
