I don't think this sounds that bad. Not great but better than average. I haven't heard their other stuff tho so I have nothing to compare this to.

I listened to their death metal albums and compared to the actual pioneers of the genre ( like the aptly named Death band ) these guys pale to a casper white. But their newer stuff is great. This album in particular I really liked, They invoke emotion with their sound. Really good album.

In sound they are totally going another way than before. It's not bad, but I liked the older In Flames more. A good album though. It's going to be fun to hear what comes next.

i dont understand this band. The Jester Race is one of my favorite albums of all time. its just incredibly well written and i hear landscapes in it...but its still fucking death metal and has great riffs. This...is shit. i dont like anything after Clayman
