This album only has a few good songs that I can easily live without...i don't like how serj doesn't do as much vocals anymore and the music has gotten a lot softer.

Yeah that one really annoys me. And I always have to look away when I see the video and shows that guys face. He's an "unique" looking individual to say the least. look on the first song on Mezmerize and the last song on Hypnotize, they are an intro and the song, wouldn't that explain that they would probably be linked in some way, even using the same sound!!!!???
sorry, but it does sound like Mezmerize, but I still think it sounds great

Mistermop, I agree their music is pretty bad. But I highly doubt this is the worst album to date. Their are so many other bad albums to consider. Example: Autobiography-Ashlee Simpson

KISS_ME_IM_PUNK
i know you like them i just thought it was funny that it was a statement that it sounded like mezmerize, SOAD is one of my favorite bands. and i am very sorry about how i responded to that.

This album is a good album. Not great, but not bad either. Attack is a strong opener, and does not sound like a recycled B.Y.O.B. as some people have been saying. Dreaming is fast and furious but slow in parts, also has wierd and creepy vocals such as "For today, we will take thier body parts and put them up on the wall". That seems very un-System of a downish, more like something from Korn. This half of Mezmerize/Hypnotize is much more serious and focused. The highlights are the incredible Soldier Side, Holy Mountains, and the hilarious Kill Rock 'n' Roll. But there are some holes in this album. Stealing Society, U-Fig, and Lonely Day are all way below System's par, worse than anything else they've released besides the scraps on STA. This album overall comes out slightly ahead of STA, but way behind the other three System of a Down CDs.
