the past 2 pages are proof of sputnik's extreme arrogance/ignorance. i dont give a fuck what tompa's been involved with, i listen to the good at the gates albums and what he's done since 1993 doesn't make those albums any less amazing. you ignorant fucks. when i say i hate melodeath i'm referring to the pre-metalcoar established by SOtS, Jester Race, and The Gallery. not that they're bad albums on their own, but each band's earlier work was much much more passionate and raw and i prefer that to overproduced, simplified catchyness. listen to crimson winds, behind space and neverwhere. those songs are all totally unique and show the respective bands at their creative peaks. when they stopped experimenting and started simplifying is when the whole 'melodeath' trend started to emerge.

who cares that it's simpler than their early albums, the songs here are simply way more enjoyable

if you actually let the albums i mentioned sink in instead of searching for instant satisfaction, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised. 'raped by the light of christ' and 'the burning darkness' are infinitely more enjoyable listens than any song off of this

lol^ and ya this is easily the worst atg. i don't care if you disagree, i enjoy debate. just remember, i can defend my opinions with specific reasoning. a lot of you just make closed-minded statements and then wander away never to be heard from again
