I think they're both fantastic albums. =)
One of my favourite bands right now.

I always preferred Fleet Foxes, though felt guilty comparing them as the two bands are such good friends. =P
The self titled has its wow moments, particularly on 'He Doesn't Know Why' and 'Oliver James' but Helplessness Blues has more, I think.
What's your favourite track Potato?

Mine are Montezuma, Sim Sala Bim, Someone You'd Admire (Weird, I know) and Grown Ocean. My Mom loves the album too...I don't know, it's nice that we can share it. =)
Love the lyrics to Sim Sala Bim. Favourite lyrics Potato? =)
|
| |
this is so much better than self-titled
|
| |
Yeah? =)
I love "Are you off somewhere reciting incantations? Sim Sala Bim on your tongue. Carving off the hair of someone's young. "
|
| |
Lyrics are a lot different on this one then on their debut too.

This is without a doubt one of the best albums of a year. Few have kept my attention as long/as profoundly as this one.

This will probably be my AOTY. Only album that will be able to dethrone it from the top of my list will be the new Tom Waits album.
|
| |
It's my favourite so far too. See how Bad as Me turns out first though. =)

this band rules live

Son Lux is so interesting but sometimes I just prefer some concrete song-writing if I'm being
completely honest. =/
I'm really on the fence between this, Wild Beasts, Bon Iver and Paul Simon. =/
But I like Son Lux a lot too so I'll wait to get We Are Rising on CD first.
