I've been listening to Born of Osiris' the Discovery, and I was really hoping it would be as good as this album...

This album is better. They're both 3s though.

Interesting stance. I've been considering moving this album to a 4.5; I enjoy it so much, and have issues getting tired of it. Its stronger moments are so great.

The melodic and experimental aspects are great, but the breakdowns aren't anything special.

discovery is better

I can see why people wouldn't be impressed with the breakdowns, but I still find them really fun. They're perhaps a little overdone, but I have no qualms with this.

43% good stuff, 57% horribly generic breakdown crap. I wish they would just get rid of their breakdowns entirely, they mostly suck at it.
|
| |
that's why you have this as a 3.5 right?
who cares if there are breakdowns. this is amazing.
yeah a 5, betch
