Wouldn't change a single thing about this album ;]

I respect it atari but personally Getting Better, Good Morning and When I'm Sixty Four can all fuck off, and Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and Blue Jay Way should have made it for sure.
maybe It's All Too Much as well but maybe that's my Harrison bias coming through

Almost all of the Paul tracks on this suck

"putting something like Good Morning on here instead of Strawberry Fields Forever might be one of the stupidest things any band has done"
That was more or less because Strawberry Fields was already released prior to this album being released, so not attaching any Sgt. Pepper session song that was already released was a record label thing more than anything

Revolver > but this still rules oc

yeah TVC I know they had a policy against putting already released singles on their albums, but it was a dumb fucking policy which also meant Rain got cut from Revolver which is a close second in terms of horrifically dumb decisions by this band
thank god they abandoned that later on so we didn't have Something getting cut from Abbey Road or anything like that

Gotta agree with Row on this one, except for Getting Better which is a great song.

I really don't mean that statement lightly because of how much I love this band
Even Getting Better and She's Leaving are good but don't hold a candle to the rest of the stuff here

She's Leaving Home is a beaut, always reminded me of a spiritual sequel to Eleanor Rigby altho Rigby is the better song
Getting Better is exactly the kind of low-fat faffy pop shite that I really, really despise from Paul's end. it's a cut above Yellow Submarine and Honey Pie really (nothing's quite as bad as Ob-La-Di thankfully)

I actually quite like Ob-La-Di even though it's scummy how the title was lifted from a good friend's family's motto unique to them

To my ears this is clearly one of the weaker albums of their classic period.

This is like 3rd worst Beatles to me. Take out every "Paul's granny music" on this and this'd be as God-tier as their best stuff

o_o

I'm with you on that, Boney. I think Revolver, Abbey Road and The White Album are all better than this. This is still legendary, though.

@TVC what's paul's granny music? I never kept up on who wrote what.

Lennon described Paul's tendency to write cruddy music hall and poppy songs as "Paul's granny music"
