I predict that in 5 years time Corey will get pissed off with Matt being such a prick and will start up his own band. He could do vox too, I mwean he regularly screams/sings whole songs in Trivium's sets when Matt fvcks up.

Does he "do it improperly" too?

From what it sounds like yes.

This band just needs to get a LEAD SINGER! Let Corey and Matt just worry about playing guitar instead of worrying about sucking on vocals.

So a magazine decides your opinions for you? Seriously, tone down the fanboyism.

Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Zakk Wylde, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, Randy Rhodes, Eddie Van Halen, Ritchie Blackmoore, Steve Howe, Adrian Smith, Dave Murray, Michael Romeo... the list goes on. All of them have been dubbed as guitar gods or guitar heroes at some point or another, all for different reasons.
But to say Matt Heafy has joined those echelons of immortality is foolish at best. He's recieved a lot of critical praise and way too much hype from magazines. But he hasn't reached the point of guitar god due largely to the fact that he's still sharpening his songwriting skills. The riffs he composes usually end up sounding too similar, he doesn't have a lot of diversity, and he's almost reached a point of wanking with drop D tuning.
The guy's got potential, but he needs to ditch the ego and start putting in the time to progress his sound if he ever wants the sort of long-term recognition he so desperately craves.

I think your missing the point. Neither of them are guitar gods.
