good>2.5=or>=bad

yeah but sonictheplumber was talking yesterday about lowering his rating to a 1.5 or 1 so maybe he just hasn't done that yet. maybe he wasn't being serious. not sure
|
| |
vermeer, did you ever check out kayo dot?
|
| |
I couldn't finish it (I made it through the first 5 tracks).
From Interview on is the best part, tbh.

Album Rating: 1.0
I would bet when Willie was listening to this, he was thinking "now I know what those guys are talking about." Of course as a diplomat he can't say that here. Just saying. I mean, he couldn't even finish the album.
|
| |
i feel the same way about this being unlistenable but i don't feel the need to go on and on about it
|
| |
yeah Bitchfork I only have had time to check out a few songs but i was liking what i was hearing.
and yeah Hans i bet you're right dude about what Willie was thinking. Even if he would never bother posting about CTtS as a user he very well might hate it just as vehemently for many of the same reasons that have been given
|
| |
but but u need to pick a side, there is no middle ground in this war. you're either a whiny fanboy, a whiny hater, or you're a spambot
i have no rating therefore i am a spambot ofc
|
| |
so would that be a 1/5 for you if you were going to give it a rating, klap4music?
|

Album Rating: 2.5 | Sound Off
Can't we all agree that we have differing opinions and move on with our lives???

Here's what I got so far, doubt I'll do it:
The way I see it, Circle Takes the Square's first full-length album, As the Roots Undo, is a composition built off a series of metaphors. Think about it; at the beginning of "Non-Objective Portrait of Karma," crescendoing ambience seems to represent an unnamed character's ascension to heaven. Discordance ensues, representing the mutiny he causes, and the coup d'etat he is subject to. In "Crowquill," foreshadowing occurs, referencing a threnody ("A Crater to Cough In," which is, unsurprisingly, about death) and this very overthrow ("nothing's so puerile as haiku d'etat," perhaps another way to say "actions speak louder than words"). As well, the short introduction track seems to present the birth of an idea, carrying on into a chaotic display of hilariously charismatic- or, perhaps, egotistic - emo.

cool story bro. how many MJ points do you want?
|
| |
-3.
|

disregard Helvete's nonsense
it looks really good so far man. some very nice phrasing. i would start out that last sentence with "Also" rather than "As well"..."as well" seems to work better at the end of phrases. i'd italicize coup d'etat for condescension's sake, and i'm not sure if you'd need to start out by saying that it's just the way you see it (though this works with the whole conversational tone you're adopting). but these are really just cosmetic revisions. it's strong
|
| |
u mad?
Bitchfork I'm sorry about that. Anyway what you need to do is dig out in largest thesaurus you can find, and get a fake diploma. then you can write more awesomely
|
| |
lol a "fake diploma"
anyone who graduates with a degree from the University of Chicago (in any department, really) can wipe his ass with diplomas from most other schools
