Ok album but...when compared to their Colossal previous works like "The Wall" its pale.

Pink Floyd spirit was in the combine effort of Gilmour & Waters. The moment of their separation killed this legendary band. IMO

I'd say The Final Cut is slightly more consistent but the high points in here are better

it does have some jams tho

namely Learning to Fly, sax in Dogs of War and Terminal Frost, Sorrow is probably the darkest song they ever did

but yeah, no real reason to listen to this regularly. thankfully Division Bell was much better

I have to listen to On The Turning Away on my way home. I hope it doesn't take me too high. If that happens my wife will take the car.

hey Moto dude, how about the sax in that middle section of Terminal Frost?

Learning To Fly is incredible too. On The Turning Away might get Notrap killed. Let us know you're ok bro.

Hahah safe and sound mate. Yet Another Movie and Mike Oldfield's Moonlight Shadow were highlights.

i take that back, Sorrow could be their darkest song instrumentally. darkest overall has to be "Jugband Blues" which is terribly depressing to read the lyrics to considering Syd was basically going insane during this time after dosing too much and losing the band

"hey Moto dude, how about the sax in that middle section of Terminal Frost?"

nice to see you Titan, and hell yeah I meant the sax in both Dogs of War and Terminal Frost! sax and the floyd go hand in hand of course

not sure what i would rate this
