Mostly agree with this, with the exception of A Dramatic Turn of Events which I love and is a vastly underrated album (production aside).
This is more straightforward than most DT albums, but still plays to their strengths more than the s/t and Astonishing did and has quite a lot of depth/feel to it.

Yeah, Hollow Years is amazing. Among the best ballads they have to offer. And agreed very, very hard, this definitely deserves a better reputation.

A good 40% of the record is some cringish mallcore pop. They sold out just a tad. Which is a shame cuz the rest is kinda stellar.

Don’t think they sold out at all. Despite the record company urging them to cut down their tracks and create something more radio friendly this record turned out excellent and just different from what they’ve done before.
And yeah agreed kalk bro, that is definitely among the most inaccurate things one could say about Trial of Tears. It’s one of the standouts on here and among their best material in general.

Now that I listened to it again a 4 is totally appropriate. 3.5 would be too low, 4.5 is a bit much for me atm. Definetly an underrated album and better than anything they released after ToT, except maybe for BC&SL.

Nice, this one really has substance and is definitely worth a 4. I remember spinning it for the first time the day it came out and totally loved it instantly. It still has a lot of replay value for me.
