Finally got round to listen to this in its entirety. The ending of Epilogue was so abrupt and so damn creepy too. It was like the narrator just went insane at the end and I don't know what to think about that to be honest

I have no idea why people would describe Epilogue as abrubt. It's after the terrible events and the narrator is trying to get over his loss (licking his wounds), but closure does not come so easily - he is fired from his job (maybe the thing that got them together in the first place, and the most important link between them, besides their personal relationship) and so - he is trying to move on.
You're screaming
And cursing
And angry
And hurting me
And then smiling
And crying
Apologizing
This always remind me of the five stages of grief

It just came as quite a shock and it sounded really creepy too, but if it was supposed to represent how the narrator is breaking down, then it does a good job at that

my hair started growing, my face became yours
my femur was breaking in half
the sensation was scissors and too much to scream
so instead, I just started to laugh

Daddy was an asshole, he fucked you up
Built the gears in your head, now he greases them up
and no one paid attention when you just stopped eating
eighty-seven pounds and it all bears repeating

Epilogue is fantastic but the last minute is abrupt and kinda unnecessary

don't be scared to speak
don't speak with someone's tooth
don't bargain when you're weak
don't take that sharp abuse
some patients can't be saved, but that burden's not on you
don't ever let anyone tell you you deserve that
first jam in close to 2 years today. resonates.

I guess it was to tie in the hospital theme rowan. agreed that it is slightly jarring.

wow, I can't even imagine 2 years without this
When we get home we're bigger strangers than we've ever been before
You sit in front of snowy television, suitcase on the floor

no ones gonna fix it for us no one can
you say that no one's gonna listen, no one understands
and now there's no open doors, there's no way to get through
there's no other witnesses just as two

But I didn't mind the things you threw, the phones I deflected

ending to atrophy when he sings the wake melody oh man
love how this improves as it goes progresses. two, wake and epilogue are my three favourite tracks. and #fuckdahaterz shiva is brilliant. them horns.

I don't find this depressing, but sad yeah
Some patients can't be saved, but that burden's not on you
Don't ever let anyone tell you you deserve that

you're the only user that matters so ;]
bring on the hate
but
I always found kettering to be just SLIGHTLY overrated
I mean yeah its great
but the little whisper-y little lisp thing he's got going on the verses kinda irritates me like when you are trying to sleep and there is a tap dripping down the hall
still beautiful and THAT ENDING
but yeah there is defs better tracks here for me

youre talking about his parched voice. sounds like he is singing with a really dry mouth in the morning. which was probably the case. I find it kinda enchanting if a little annoying on occasion
