You're too harsh with SotW, I think it's better than Space Truckin' and WAY better than Never Before

"Never being a big fan of Clapton"

I can excuse this man but you gotta love Cream because Ginger Baker is one of the best drummers ever

I'm not Clapton's biggest fan either but there aren't many guitarists out there that have released albums like Layla, Beano and Disraeli Gears. For me the guy is a legend.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that Clapton in bands > solo Clapton.

Oh definitely. There are some good solo albums of his such as the s/t, 461 Ocean Boulevard, Slowhand

and Rainbow Concert in particular but they can't compare with what he did in bands.

manosg, are you familiar with John Mayall? I'm considering exploring his stuff.

Yeah I'm familiar with his work which is great. He's worked with some great guitarists such as Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton, A Hard Road and Crusade are my personal favorites of his and The Turning Point is a great live album. Definitely worth exploring his stuff!

Highway Star must've had an impact on metal. Hard-driving track.

Definitely man and thanks for the kind words, appreciate it.

A Hard Road is awesome indeed. Peter Green's input is felt on that album. Plus it includes "The Supernatural" which is one of my favorite instrumentals.

The Supernatural is one of the best guitar instrumentals ever recorded, no doubt.
