Agreed, I like YFW but it's immature and repetitive especially compared to their later stuff. Are you re-reviewing daisy?

I'm sure I will. Honestly the main thing keeping me from doing it so far is a lack of ability to put together exactly how I feel about it. There's the nostalgic take, and how that album was basically everything to me during my last couple semesters of college...the mysterious take - like what the hell is with "Be Gone" and the hidden message in "In a Jar"...the standard evaluation of the album musically approach...and a million others.

You could do that or you could see it for what it is. Bobbins.

I get what you mean, it might be their most mature and I love the lyrics. It's definitely a perfect finality to their evolution, especially with the last song noro. I wouldn't even mind if it was their last though they've said they're working on a new one. Who knows what that'll sound like.

I fully expect it to be entirely in a different vein. Jesse has stated numerous times that as a band they've exhausted all TDAG/Daisy related avenues.

Really? When there was so much left to explore emotionally??
Well I never!

I wonder if that means they'll lose the post-hardcore elements completely, maybe they'll go more into indie rock territory

Perhaps. It will be interesting to see what they do...while I don't expect anything too crazy, I wouldn't rule it out either. They've been known to try completely new things when they get tired of a particular sound.
Personally, I think a pop/acoustic type of album is likely. They've always been a great acoustic band and Jesse said they're tired of depressing people with their music. I'm not sure how well he can pull off happy, but something in the vein of "Brothers" (Untitled 3) from FOYD would sit quite well with me and still fit in as a natural place to go after back to back heavier albums.

Maybe more stuff like Out Of Range

I enjoyed that song to an extent, but I think it was mostly due to my excitement over hearing something from BN that I never had before. In all honesty I hope their new stuff has a little more to it. "Out of Range" kind of dragged on.

That's what "Untitled 3" does for me, as far as unreleased Brand New tracks go.

They played this in full for the 10th anniversary on their latest tour. I caught them one night. Rare because they rarely come around here. It was amazing
