well thats kind of my point, his rated pretty highly for doing the same thing as Ray. I'm not attacking Gene but i don't like the drumming on this album.

I'll Have a listen to the Death stuff, allthough I've heard all his SYL work and again, the self titled album is really good.

The Death stuff is better. I like Gene's playing on this more than Raymond's because it sounds more forceful and aggressive. Obviously, part of that is due to the production but Raymond always sounded too sterile.

Yea i noticed that the double base is much more audiable and "agressive" in this album when i compared it to Archetype.

For some reason, this is the only Fear Factory record I can fully listen to. I still don't know why this is. Demanufacture, which is supposed to be their best record, just doesn't do anything for me but this, this simply blows me away.



I'm happy to see they have recovered from what an average record Transgression was.

Demanufacture is a bit overrated, IMO. The first half is strong but beginning with "Dog Day Sunrise" the album just drops in quality.

Pisschrist doesn't do anything for me. I mean yeah, it's a good song by them and all but everything off of Mechanize just has much more of a kick to the songs in terms of lyrical content, musicianship and over all quality of the song writing.
