I think I've only listened to this in full on the one occasion. The singles a bit more.
'Modern Vampires' was actually a big album for me at the time and I still have it on a 3.5...but I feel that might drop if I return to it now.

I like Modern Vampires quite a bit, too, but thought it was a little too homogeneous to be truly great, though that exact homogeneity is what a lot of people found to be the most mature and appreciable thing about it.
Anything is better than their most recent album, though. That thing should be about half the length (and even then it'd probably still be their weakest output to date).

I am so hype for the new record. Singles are beyond promising - I think "Gen X Cops" is the weakest of the four, but "Classical" and especially "Capricorn" and "Mary Boone" are among VW's best tracks to date. Very reminiscent of the theoretical intersection between CONTRA and MVOTC.
