Have any of you guys heard yellow and green yet?
Cuz the sound of the cymbals makes the album pretty much unlistenable on my laptop speakers and I wanna know if any of you guys are experiencing the same issue.

The production is pretty bad, man. Drums are too loud in the mix in general. But I would never listen to an album the first time through on laptop speakers. Everything sounds like crap on mine.

Not sure if I wanna listen to the new album. Is it worth it?

It's good, but completely different. There's like two metal riffs on the entire thing. I wouldn't even call it a metal album.
|
| |
So is it even anything like the material on the other two albums?
|
| |
The parts that I did listen to were pretty good but it sounds a lot different from this (especially green which is really mellow) so I wouldn't know if you'd like it wolf. I'd say check it out when a stream pops up and see if you enjoy it.
And MeatSalad I figured that was part of the problem so I was fiddling with the equalizer on my media player (winamp) and it helped a bit but the drums still sounded really hollow.

There isn't really anything resembling the red album, and it takes the melodic meanderings of blue record and turns them into an entire album. It's unique, to say the least.

Yeah, a stream would be really nice.

I gave it a solid 4. It probably would have been a 4.5 if it wasn't for the weak production and hit and miss vocals.

This is the only album I've had any sound problems with so far

Yeah but, at least give an album some god damn respect and listen through headphones the first time.
|
| |
my headphones are pretty cheap haha but you're right it does sound a lot better with them on
but uhm yeah I normally play stuff like Sunn O))), Sleep, Boris etc on a high volume level and everything is fine so I wasn't expecting this, that's all

You should invest in some good headphones, the jump in quality is amazing the first time
|
| |
No shit you always seem to have a such a dark mood if you mostly listen to music through laptop speakers. Seriously, there SHOULD be qualitative differences which are noticable.
|
| |
What's noticeable is that excessive listening sessions with headphones have left me with 25% permanent
hearing damage ;]

Well that's entirely your own fault
|

'Well that's entirely your own fault'
which is why I rarely use my headphones any more

"Well that's entirely your own fault"
True, I mean usually listen to stuff on a rather loud volume but still. My hearing's still pretty good.
