Heard this for the first time today.. I was compiling a 1987 playlist and came across Doof's recommendations from that year.
My thoughts are: hearing a lot of influence on Toad the Wet Sprocket and Daughn Gibson, a contemporary of Chris Isaak, The Church, and maybe itself taking queues from Scott Walker.
Anyway, really liking "The Boy With the Gun" rn. I'm really happy to have found this.
