I've been listening to this a lot recently and it's really a great album. It shreds but in such a sophisticated manner.

I guess for some people it does. Personally I find that production doesn't really affect how much I enjoy the music. If you listen to whats going on, production aside, its some pretty amazing stuff.

Most of the time production doesn't bug me, but with this I notice everything Bulb fucked up on, and it kills the experience for me
I don't really care for the stuff on the album anyway, although Tosin is a fantastic guitarist

That's fair, I'm a drummer not a guitarist so I can't tell what he messed up guitar wise. I find this album is a wicked mix of metal, electonic and jazz elements. But to each their own.
