actually, on their new record, the whole musical side of things is very strong, albeit it's more hard rock than metal. The band are still egomaniacs and can't write decent lyrics even if their life would depend on it.

the songs I heard on youtube seem to suggest they have indeed toned it down a little. More commercial I guess.

i was watching fpe-tv on youtube yesterday and saw the lead guitarist's custom axe. it's actually quite interesting. also learned he's canadian.
