A timeless album does not simply become tiresome
|
| |
Oh you don't even know the half of it
|
| |
These albums are all so familiar, even without that many listens from me.
|
| |
This and act 1 yeah but act 3 is sorta in the middle while 4 and 5 are very similar ya
|
| |
Maybe it is the themes and Casey's voice but when a random track comes on shuffle I almost always have to check and see which act it's from. I know Red Hands is from this one though. This one might be my favorite of all the acts actually.
|
| |
Maybe cuz I've heard the first 3 dozens and dozens of times lol. Especially act 1 and 2.
This was my favorite for the longest time but I overplayed the hell out of it and idk what my fav act is now. 3? 4? All I know is Color Spectrum is goat and Act 1 is underrated af

I can always tell which song is an Act II one 'cause Casey's vox sound fucked on this really often
that and the mix are honestly the main reasons why this has never been one of my favorites in the series, though I get why it would be for most older fans
|
| |
Yeah Casey's voice is irritating sometimes. Evicted is still one of their best songs but imagine Act III vocals on that
|
| |
Probably because I picked up pretty much the entire series at the same time. As I listen more I'll pick up on the differences I'm sure.

This production is definitely very different from Act IV and V
A bit better than Act 1 production, a bit worse than Act III production

Discovered this gold in March or so. This album is pure gold. After listening to it around 50 times or so (ofc patricular songs go over 100 on the counter) I'm quite sure it deserves a 5. And a good review on sputnik, but that ain't happening any time soon, as it seems.
I don't necessarily get why it's Red Hands to get the most fans attention. It's a good song but Church and the Dime or Bitter Suite I&II feel so much better than it does for me. Both of these are more energetic and sad at the same time, love it.
The biggest flaw is mentioned production. It's still not terrible though. It's only average.
[This] puzzling facade steers pure from the divine

same, I've never quite understood the rabid love for "Red Hands" specifically. It's a fine song, but no more so than several of the others on here

I suppose it's because of Jesus.
Because Jesus is the answer to anything.

This is such a different album from later Act's like IV and V, but has it's own individual charm that makes it just as good as said albums, fucking amazing

i just like the more gritty post-hardcore influence on this album.

You should check TREOS if you haven't already

I feel like it's some for me to check out acts IV and V, but I don't have time to do so I mean, technically I could put it up while being busy, but what's the point in discovering new music that way?
Tbh Act II didn't click on me first time I played it. I just liked Smiling Swine as it greatly stood up from the other songs. And just like usual, after spending time with album I don't really pay much attention to this song anymore. Classic isn't it
