Haha... No, that clearly is not a mistake since Sufferer is better.

Sufferer is the best. I've been blasting is recently.

Sufferer and RPM are both better, Siren Song's the bridge between them.

Did 'Hero Of War' get any better between posts?

Hahaha nah. The lyrics are terrible. I do like the rest of this though. Not that I'm opposed to them doing acoustic, I liked Swing Life Away.

Since you're obviously a big Rise Against fan, DaveyBoy, should I listen to The Sufferer and the Witness next or Siren Song of the Counter Culture? This was my first time listening all the way through a Rise Against record.

Listen to Sufferer and the Witness. It's their best album.

While it's probably too late now, I still prefer to listen to albums in order they were made... So I would suggest Siren Song & then Sufferer. But yeah, Sufferer is better... Especially if you like this album.

I do typically like to listen to albums in chronological order, but in this case, I think the reverse order works better for me, as I enjoy newer Rise Against better than old.

I've given Sufferer a couple listens now, and I like it. I do typically prefer a more accessible sound, hence why I started with this one, but I do like the fact that it's faster overall than this, one or two faster numbers would've helped here.

And Savior is my favorite here.

From those comments, it sounds like we have rather similar musical tastes indeed.

Have a read of my reviews of those other 2 Rise Against albums when you get a chance... Especially with 'Sufferer' since I definitely didn't rate that 5 after my first listen.

I'll give them a read. Rise Against has significantly grown on me recently, I didn't use to like them much aside from a few tracks before.

Is that so? I'll tell you this, it will be very interesting to see where I end up after a year of being on this site.

My tastes haven't changed much since being here, listen to a lot more Post-Rock and obscure things but I still like the simple things I used too.

Fight the Sputnik power ties. Don't give in to all that post-rock & ambient whatchamecallit.
