Up until the past 4 years, almost every show I ever saw was at the Marquee or the Clubhouse before it died. I don't know why exactly I hate it so much but I just feel unhappy to be there every time I have to. They charge shitty prices, the stage is high as fuck, annoying barriers and security. So impersonal

He played Disarmed acoustically after the show in Austin. Was amazing. Got broken up by cops though for no permit, which was lame, especially considering it was in Austin -_-

His new album better sound like "It's Not Enough" or I'm going to be so unhappy

I can feel you, but the venue I'm most used to is The Rialto here in Tucson, which is essentially just like the Marquee in those regards lol
While I didn't expect much from it (especially since it's in a shopping center) I was pleasantly surprised with Pub Rock

Half agreed. I love Please Come Home. Actually just jammed it yesterday. But "It's Not Enough" is pretty freaking great. Hoping for a good variation.

Pretty much every show I'm interested in these days is at the Nile/Underground in Mesa if you've ever been there.
I actually really don't like Dustin's solo stuff. It's like 3 material at best and this new song is so unbelievably good that I think it may fill my Thrice void. The song titles and artwork are obscenely horrible though

I feel the same about his solo stuff but he has a few incredible songs (It's Not Enough, Pistol, and I Knew You Before)
and I am usually pretty inattentive when it comes to good shows in Phoenix (I either don't find out or find out months before and then forget) so next time someone cool comes hit me up

I'm listening to Anthology (live album) right now and that guitar tone is so fucking sexy. I need it.
|

I was kind of bummed they didn't do an Anthology Live DVD with like a documentary

Sweet. I tried downloading that house of blues a long time ago and couldn't find the actual dvd online. Haven't looked for it in like 5 years, didn't realize they'd still just have copies in stock.
