The first 4 tracks (with the exception of Yes) still don't really measure up to the rest imo but Archives of Pain just kicks shit into high gear

and the chorus is so damn good. the choruses are really strong in this album in general actually, maybe that's why it's so addicting

The chorus of This Is Yesterday is why it's my favorite. Bradfield is such an astounding vocalist. The verses are equally strong though, specifically on songs like Archives Of Pain, Die In The Summertime and The Intense Humming Of Evil.

also: during the end section of 4st 7lb i noticed these really cool guitar swirls in the background that just took the song into god tier for me

omg yes he really is. he has such a great, unique voice, and i absolutely love the way he enunciates things in the album, especially once you listen more and more and start understanding more of what he's saying

it sounds kind of weird but the way he sings the lyrics is totally perfect really

damn i can't think of the swirls you're talking about right now.. i'll probably notice them the next time i jam

i wonder what it would have sounded like if richey was the vocalist. its kind of weird listening to his words being sung by someone else.
