just realised how much I still love this record, and not just out of nostalgia (even though it was the first CD I ever listened to). the music is still some of the best punky rock i've heard.

I have to say that I'm all for bands being ambitious and experimental. IMO, there's nothing worse than a band who does the same thing over and over to keep the fans happy. This album asks the "hardcore" fans the question, "how do you like us now?". Most of them probably dislike it but for every hardcore fan lost, a new fan is gained. Bands make music they love themselves first and foremost, they are the ones that have to play it every night. This album is there for those who like it...
... and I love it!
