Sometimes I get in the mood for this album but I only listen to it in short bursts. Homewrecker, Jane Doe, and Broken Vow are my favorites.

^every one of their albums carries such a strong presence, it is pretty hard to listen to them in full unless you're feeling something similar
in that case, it's hard not to get stuck on repeat

My favourites are Concubine, Homewrecker, The Broken Vow, Thaw and Jane Doe, but every song has a part to it that fucking kills. The endings of Hell to Pay and Heaven In Her Arms fucking rule, and the Phoenix in Flight/Flame combo is amazing.

The transitions from song to song on this record are part of the reason why it's so great.

Very occasionally when I'm in the mood for this album it's great but most of the time I find it quite boring.

The only time I'm not in the mood for this record is when I'm listening to Botch.

I'm torn between a 3.5 and 4 for this. A couple of the tracks (mainly Hell to Pay) are boring, and the lack of coherent lyrics makes it kind of forgettable, despite how original the music is.

first of all hell to pay isn't boring, but i can respect your opinion for thinking it is.

But the lack of coherent lyrics?

Yeah, that's a better word for it, although my computer's dictionary defines coherent as "able to speak clearly...(and logically)".This Message Edited On 10.23.08

No no leave him be. He thinks the only way to be respected on this site is to give abuse to anyone who thinks differently to established users. He is ultimitely in for a sharp shock which is justice enough for me.
