maybe it isn't actually lazy, just feels that way to me because she doesn't hit those high notes with the same energy and cadence she once did that was so distinctly her that was so endlessly ripped off at the time. it's a hard thing to describe with text. just feels easier, more conventional, not passionate. I listen to a lot of 80's music and nothing about that album sounds 80's to me personally, sounds like clueless hipster junk
