He seems like a pretty good dude and not the kind who just straight up bullshits so we'll see. Those two punk songs they did for Appeal to Reason that didn't make it on there, Grammatizor/Voice of Dissent, damn they were fine.

I haven't heard those. Were they on that b-side album they did? I never did listen to that.

Yeah they were but they were released as a double single beforehand
Seriously listen to those two songs, and most of the bsides album is really good as well

I am so moist about them being in the studio. I haven't stopped jamming them since they started posting updates about entering

And I am talking about Bandits, not Rise Against. Gross

Rise Against has some good tunes, I don't cur what nobodies says.
Yeah, should be interesting to see what they (Rx, not Rise Against) are going to do this time around.

I despise Rise Against so no, never.
As long as they don't go back to doing ska, the record will probably be a 4+ for me

You don't like any of their stuff? Their second and third records are pretty damn spiffy, imo.
I didn't mind the ska stuff, which is surprising since I generally dislike the genre.

I consider them a commercial insult to hardcore
I think their first two albums flat out suck dick and Progress is decent. Once the ska started taking a backseat (Resignation) is when they started to become godly

When they were considered any type of 'hardcore,' they weren't really commercial at all, tho. They pretty much dropped it entirely when they got signed to a major label after their second album.
People that consider them to still be hardcore in the slightest are kind of tards, and I'm sure there are plenty that don't consider them to be all that 'hardcore' in the first place.
Not trying to argue or anything, plus, I don't know what you have heard by them. Also, this really isn't the thread to have this conversation in anyway, ha ha.

Never heard the early stuff. My friend who is into ska got me into the bandits and said not to bother. Also been jamming resignation/progress lately. Glad they didn't hang it up for good.

Pre-progress stuff is definitely not worth hearing. It is generic beyond belief and having a 2.7 and a 3.1 while the rest of their stuff is 3.8 and 4+s should give you an idea

@Watch: Dat avatar. I love it

Yeah I actually just checked that out on the band page Xing. Also there is an Athom review of Progress that has like 9 comments total. It was a little depressing.
Gotta love the deku, heh.
