yeah same literally gave this another go today since i used to like it upon release (for i was 17 and liked much worse music at the time) but its really fuckin bad. the better songs didnt stand the test of time very well and way more of this is just straight up awful than my blind high school ass realized

Titling the album "Erase Me" was certainly a self-fulfilling prophecy

I swear it’s just background fill in noise a bunch of the time instead of guitars actually playing something

The amount of alcohol required to make this tolerable would literally kill me.

as a straight edger, i can confirm you do not need to be drunk to stomach this, you just have to live in whatever alternate reality i'm in that makes this sound better LOL
i legit do not even understand how this is even bad, maybe it's a bit too stripped back and light by Underoath standards but it's got interesting moments and lyrically isn't that far behind their previous works.

fuck if i know, all i know is it somehow made this, new Asking, the new Bullet singles, and new BVB all sound solid, while making the new Crown the Empire songs sound mid as all hell (as someone who dug Sudden Sky, too), and DGD sound mid as hell past Instant Gratification. it's like my ears are in another dimension.

Well I've never liked any of those except DGD who I mostly listened to as background music.
