Didn't need the whole band to pitch in to make this record. Roger Waters ain't no slouch he knows how to write great music. Animals is pre predominately Waters era yet everyone proclaims to say that was the last true Pink Floyd record. The last Pink Floyd album where the band is working in unison was Wish You Were Here.

Honestly, I believe every member of Pink Floyd is extremely talented and played their part, but Waters has always been the driving force of Pink Floyd post-Syd. Are they at their best when they're working together? Absolutely, but that isn't a good enough of a reason to dismiss this so easily because it lacks contributions from other members.

Christ, never thought I'd have to preach about how great the Wall is to Pink Floyd fans. When I was younger "Animals" was the lost Pink Floyd classic nobody ever talked about and The Wall was a more popular record. Must be hip to dislike this one so much. I even like Animals more, but they're all classics and should be treated likewise.

"Roger Waters ain't no slouch he knows how to write great music."

Yeah no one's denying that, Waters was clearly the best writer in the band. It's just that Floyd are so much better when the other members are more at the forefront musically.

I think jeff is living proof that anyone over the age of 35 on a website that is run by brats (not you JT) is cool as fuck.

Merry Xmas bros.

Have a good one.

No doubt, I can reconcile with that mate, but I still think The Wall speaks in volumes regardless of who's present. Is it their best? In my opinion, no, but it's better than quite a few Floyd albums which is noteworthy. I would have loved it if they could have buried the hatchet and played on here, but it didn't effect the quality of the record. Its beloved by most fans and it seems odd to me why it isn't on here.

Did anyone pay attention to what The Wall is about, did that not move you in any way whatsoever? I'm not just talking about the music, but considering what's going on in the world; I think you guys should appreciate this more. History repeats itself and The Wall carries strong social commentary 30+ years later. I ain't trying to give anyone a history lesson or bore you to death, but just think about that before you knock it so easily. If I could I'd have this record stickied to the front page because that's how monumental The Wall really is.

A few years ago I managed to see the Roger Waters tour for this album and it blew me away. Granted, the man is older now and the people playing with him had nothing to do with Floyd, but it really was a wonderful rendition.

P.S Thanks Zak happy holidays to you as well. I just turned 40.. is that old? I don't think so! In my mind I haven't peaked yet! Ha, never knew there was an age demographic before I signed up. I work, pay my bills, and continue to play and listen to music as I have done most of life.. I ain't quite done yet bro!

As you mature, you will leave online forums for more meaningful endeavours.

And instead of embarking on tiring musical expeditions, you will relax and be satisfied with those 5 albums that defined your identity when you were 25.

Ouch! That sounds like a fortune cookie I read last week, existential crisis kicking in. First time I've ever signed up for an online music forum. I work in retail, married, and have children, I'm relaxed. Music is big hobby of mine, and I can get vocal about it (which I apologize for, I get carried away sometimes), but that's why I signed up to find find likewise people who love music. You don't know jack shit about what defined me as a person when I was 25 years old.

Haha! No kidding, I'm sure they're still trying to find "the magic" of each song as well as the diameter and circumference of Thom Yorke's naked penis inside them.
